Project scope: Since 1971 Captain Shon and Lee Nicols have been in the jewelry and leather manufacturing business – starting off in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. We work with Native American artists and craftsmen, and to this day we are still manufacturing Southwestern and contemporary jewelry in New Mexico, which is featured at our retail gallery and showroom in Garberville, California on Highway 101 in the Heart of the Redwoods. Once a year Captain Shon travels from the Amazon River Basin deep in the interior of the Peruvian jungles to the high peaks of the Andes Mountains, journeying to remote villages where he trades with the indigenous people such items as mosquito netting, shirts, trousers and other items they have requested. Captain Shon is probably the only one in the world who goes up the Amazon River in a dugout canoe delivering smoked salmon from Alaska, (which is a real hit with the natives). He trades for many Peruvian Textiles including Alpaca products such as; ponchos, ruanas (shawls), hats, scarves, pillowcases, rugs, Teddy Bears, and basketry. Shopping Cart: The site uses our in-house shopping cart. Design components: Site design of all graphics and color scheme, navigation menu, and online forms for project estimates and general contact.
