« Return to web portfolio Client: Sanitary Services Company Project: Redesign of existing site Web Address: www.sscwaste.com Project Scope: Sanitary Services Company is the waste collection contractor for the City of Meridian, Idaho. With recycling encouraged SSC is at the forefront of waste collection in Idaho. All their trucks currently run on 20% biodiesel for cleaner air. They have also implemented a sharps recyling program for home use of needles that is the first of it's kind in Idaho. SSC will continue to look for inventive and creative ways to reduce waste flowing to landfills while providing high quality service to it's customers. Design components: This is a maintenance project for SSC as their old site was on the web hosting servers for the City of Meridian and they had no or very little control over what they could do and required more functionality. We used an existing design that SSC was using for their sister company, Benjamin's Rural Disposal which collects for Canyon County, as the basis for the design and added in all new content and images along with new style sheet components and an email signup tool so their customers can receive notifications by email instead of postal mail.
